The engineering team at WITTENSTEIN has succeeded in designing the future in servo gearboxes – the alpheno®. A high performance gearbox that sets new benchmarks for machine productivity efficiency.
In 1983, Manfred Wittenstein introduced the first low-backlash planetary gearhead – the alpha. The product range has continued to expand with the adding of inline and right-angle gearboxes and the further design development of the alpha SP+ and alpha TP+ series in 2009.
The performance of planetary gearboxes is taken to an entirely new level with alpheno®. For years, alpheno® has been the model of choice in highly challenging applications where individual requirements exceed the performance capabilities of the standard product range. The power density of alpheno® is an increase of up to 130% compared to the alpha SP+.
Like the alpha SP+ shaft gear, alpheno® is also available in a HIGH SPEED® version and with a hollow shaft at the output. An option with optimized mass inertia guarantees maximum energy efficiency.
