Beckhoff Introduces Additions to Built-n Panel PCs and Control Panels

By Editor | July 26, 2012

In order to continue supporting environmentally resilient display technologies for industrial use, Beckhoff Automation has introduced new additions to its CP62xx series Panel PCs as well as its CP66xx and CP69xx series Control Panels. These “built-in“ HMI panels for cabinet mounting are now also available in a flush-mounted design option with stainless steel that complies with the strict plant requirements of the food, packaging and medical industries.

These robust panels still support innovative visualization concepts and intuitive operation while preventing moisture deposits and contamination. In addition, a custom front laminate cover is available that enables flush mounting of the panels onto control cabinets.

Flexibility paired with high performance
The new Beckhoff built-in panels in flush-mounted, stainless steel design offer versatile application options that range from simple panels for HMI visualization to complete automation controllers when used with Beckhoff’s TwinCAT automation software. These new panels can optionally be equipped with an IP 67 USB port for an exceptionally reliable connection in the field. The same display dimensions as the existing panel models are retained in 5.7, 12, 15 or 19-inch versions.

Product Overview: Panel PC series available with flush-mounted, stainless steel option
– The CP69xx built-in Control Panel with DVI/USB Extended connection can be operated up to 50 m away from the PC.
– The CP66xx built-in Control Panel with Ethernet port and Intel® IXP420 processor can be used as an independent Panel PC, remote desktop display or server terminal.
– The CP62xx built-in Panel PC is a complete control hardware solution in conjunction with TwinCAT. Processor choices include Intel® Atom™, for example, which enables configuration of a fan-less Panel PC thanks to low heat dissipation.
