At ATX West 2021, attendees will have a unique opportunity to view firsthand multiple exhibits and operating system demos covering a broad range of new and proven Rexroth technologies, including multiaxis Cartesian systems, high-speed precision conveyors, wireless tightening systems, an advanced production floor data visualization system and new robotics offerings.

Highlights of the booth include several working systems demos, one of those being a multitechnology conveyor demonstration integrating TS 2plus conveyors with a 3-axis Cartesian robot, as well as complete details on Rexroth’s groundbreaking new ctrlX AUTOMATION platform — designed to make automation as easy as using a smartphone.

Booth visitors will also have the opportunity to have one-on-one conversations about their unique automation and smart manufacturing with Rexroth’s Industry 4.0 experts, who can offer practical advice and new ideas about how the company’s technology can help them build smarter, more versatile and productive manufacturing solutions.

Key Rexroth booth exhibits at ATX West 2021 include:

Multitechnology Conveyor Demo: This exhibit showcases how Bosch Rexroth is enabling the Factory of the Future for both manual and automated production with the intelligent integration of key systems such as the TS 2plus palletized conveyor, a Cartesian 3-axis robot incorporating CKK compact linear modules and cabinet-free IndraDrive Mi servo drive, all controlled by IndraControl XM22 PLC with Safety PLC. The working demo will show how i4.0 data is collected and shared with other systems through an onboard IoT Gateway for real-time manufacturing transparency.

ActiveMover Transfer System with Smart Function Kit for Pressing: This state-of-the-art linear motor transfer system moves magnetic pallets with unprecedented speed and accuracy, providing key i4.0 advantages, such as free programming and control of each workpiece pallet to allow adaptable realization of process flows and flexibility in changeovers and retooling processes. In addition, it works with the Smart Function Kit for Pressing, which is utilized with specific individual pallets for various pressing and joining applications. This combination is the answer to many of customer needs in automation solutions.

ctrlX AUTOMATION: This exhibit will give attendees the opportunity to learn details about the new automation platform, including ctrlX CORE controller, ctrlX DRIVE and the MS2N synchronous motor, and how this smart, highly scalable and open control and drive technology has been engineered to be easily integrated into any automation infrastructure.

ctrlX WORKS: This demo illustrates the modularity of the ctrlX AUTOMATION software and engineering toolbox, as well as presenting an overview of the capabilities of the ctrlX DRIVE and ctrlX CORE hardware. Using a Cartesian robot with 3D animation, booth visitors can see how easy it is for users to assign ctrlX AUTOMATION apps or their own apps to program everything from single-axis movements to highly complex multiaxis sequences.

Rexroth Workstation Technology: Booth visitors will gain deeper insights into ways that the full range of Rexroth workstation technology can be used to create stations that improve production accuracy, productivity and speed, with products such as flexible case lifters, flow racks, scanners and identification systems, along with more advanced digital tools like Operator Guidance Systems that provide on-screen, step-by-step guidance for production tasks. Visitors will also get the chance to see the newest technology in Bosch Production Tools on display at the workstation.

ATX West attendees are invited to visit booth 4400 to learn more directly from Rexroth’s experts.
