RFMW (San Jose, CA) announced design and sales support for Peregrine Semiconductor’s (San Jose, CA) PE42424, a SPDT switch operating from 100 MHz to 6 GHz. The PE42424 uses Peregrine’s HaRP technology to create a 50 ohm, reflective switch for high power, 802.11a/b/g/n/ac applications. Handling up to 8 watts of transmit power, the PE42424 supports switching applications for outdoor Wi-Fi access points or Wi-Fi enabled small cells. Additional features include:
- A fast switching speed of 145 ns to enable higher throughput and data rates.
- Port-to-port isolation of up to 48dB to reduce signal leakage.
- A 1.5×1.5mm package without the need for external DC blocking caps providing reduced board space requirements and greater design flexibility.
- Operation in harsh environments up to 105 degrees Celsius.
