MEN Micro Inc. (Ambler, PA) has released the PX1, a new PCI Express Mini Card that uses a GNSS receiver to handle data transmissions from both GPS and GLONASS systems. The board, which supports both active and passive antennas via a U.FL connector, provides satellite-based communication worldwide. Features include:
- A gyroscope sensor that enables dead reckoning functionality.
- Accurate position identification even when a satellite signal is interrupted.
- Applicability in fleet management applications where commercial vehicles, such as trains, buses, ships, and airplanes, travel across wide geographic ranges.
