Galil 2007 Motion Control Catalog

By Design World Staff | January 10, 2007

Share

Rocklin, CA., — Galil Motion Control, the industry innovator in motion control, now offers their newly updated 2007 Motion Control Product catalog, complete with comprehensive technical specifications and pricing on all their motion controllers and drives including their newest generation, the Accelera Series. A hardcopy version can be ordered at 1-800-377-6329 or by going to http://www.galilmc.com/products/catalog.html.  It can also be downloaded in any part or in its entirety from this same web link.

The 96-page catalog features Galil’s popular Ethernet and PCI motion controllers which are available in both Econo and Accelera versions.  The Accelera Series represents Galil’s newest generation of motion controller, which is designed to provide the highest speed and performance while processing commands 10 times faster than prior generation controllers. In addition to the new DMC-40×0 Ethernet Accelera box-level controller,   the 2007 catalog covers the DMC-18×6 PCI Accelera card-level controller. Complete details can be found on Galil’s very cost-effective Econo series which includes the DMC-21×3 Ethernet Controllers and the DMC-18×2 Econo PCI controllers.

Galil’s family of multi-axis drives for stepper and servo motors are also featured in the 2007 catalog. The DMC-21×3 and DMC-40×0 series combine an Ethernet motion controller with a multi-axis drive to form a super compact unit. The drives attach directly to the controller without the need for additional wiring or cables, providing a solution that minimizes wiring, cost and space.

Galil’s 2007 catalog also includes a technical overview about motion control. This overview provides many programming examples for various modes of motion, including point-to-point positioning, jogging, linear and circular interpolation, contouring and electronic gearing. Details are also provided on Galil’s WSDK servo tuning software for “one-button” PID tuning and ActiveX Tool kit for developing operator interfaces for Galil controllers.

Galil’s family of motion controllers include single and multi-axis, bus-based and stand-alone, and box-level and card-level controllers. Available interface options include PCI, ISA, PC/104, cPCI, USB, RS232 and Ethernet. Controllers are available in 1-, 2-, 3-, 4-, 5-, 6-, 7- and 8-axis versions and can be configured to run stepper or servo motors in any combination of axes. All Galil controllers feature ease-of-use, high performance, and guaranteed lowest cost per 100 quantities.

For information about Galil’s catalog or any of their motion controllers and drives, contact Lisa Wade, VP-Marketing and Sales, at Galil Motion Control, Inc., 3750 Atherton Road, Rocklin, CA 95765, 800-377-6329, [email protected], Ph. 916-626-0101, Fax 916-626-0102, www.galilmc.com.  Order the free catalog at 800-377-6329 or at http://www.galilmc.com/products/catalog.html.
