Representatives from HELUKABEL® will be in Canada attending the 2012 Automation Technology Expo (ATX) Montréal show in Montréal, QC on November 14 – 15 to showcase the company’s cabling expertise in the automated manufacturing sector.
The ATX Montréal show brings together the world’s leading automation suppliers from the aerospace/defense, automotive/transportation, food and beverage, industrial products, IT/instrumentation, and medical/pharmaceutical industries. The two-day event will showcase the latest technology in custom automation/assembly systems, robotics, sensors, motion control, drives, and motors to help manufacturers compete in today’s global marketplace.
Located at booth #1415, HELUKABEL® will feature its vast selection of CSA-approved data and power cables for stationary, flexing and torsion applications. Among the cable options on display will be the SiHF – a silicone, halogen-free control power cable, the TRAYCONTROL® 600 – a flexible, PVC power cable, and the enhanced JZ-603 – a multi-norm control cable.
The SiHF is a CSA/UL-approved, special silicone, multi-conductor control power cable with a broad operating temperature range. It can perform in temperatures as low as -50°C and as high as +150°C, even withstanding +220°C for short periods. Silicone cables perform optimally in fixed installations with open or ventilated pipe systems as well as in ducts, and are best suited for use wherever insulation is subjected to extreme temperature changes. The SiHF is halogen-free (LSZH) and ideal for use in power stations, steel production, aviation manufacturing, ship building as well as in ceramic, glass and cement factories. The shielded variant, SiHF-C-Si, provides interference-free transmission of signals and pulses during machine operation.
The TRAYCONTROL® 600 is a PVC-jacketed, flexible power cable suitable for use in machine applications e.g. tool and plant construction. CSA/UL/CE/RoHS approved, it has been WTTC, TC-ER, PLTC-ER, and ITC-ER rated for unprotected installation from the cable tray to the machine within industrial plants. It can be installed in dry, humid, and damp environments both in- and outdoor in temperatures ranging from -40°C to +90°C. Available un-shielded (600) and shielded (600-C), to provide resistance to EMI, this multi-purpose power cable is flame retardant (FT4 & NFPA 97), and UV and oil resistant (Oil Res I, with Oil Res II available).
The JZ-603 and its shielded-variant, the JZ-603-CY, are special PVC control power cables that are approved for use in Canada and the U.S. along with Europe, China and Russia. Multi-approval cables are important for manufacturers because material costs can be significantly reduced by purchasing only one control cable for the production of machinery, control systems, assembly lines, and other industrial equipment intended for domestic or export use.
