TWINSBURG, OH – IDENT Control, a real-time RFID product identification and data collection solution from Pepperl+Fuchs, is now available as a 13.56 MHz (HF) system. This transmission frequency allows for faster data transfer, making it possible to read large amounts of data on the fly.
This HF-based system now allows integrators and users to benefit from industrial-quality IDENT Control while satisfying the FDA mandate for item level tracking in pharmaceutical applications. It is ideal for inventory, part identification, routing, and error tracking applications. It is competitively priced compared with comparable UHF systems in applications requiring a large number of code/data carriers. This is because tags operating at this frequency utilize a unique coil making it possible to implement RFID chips at considerably lower costs.
The IDENT Control RFID system has a graphical display and configuration keys for easy setup and operation, and a cast aluminum housing for durability and high immunity to noise. The system supports DeviceNet, Ethernet, and PROFIBUS protocols, as well as RS232 serial communication.
