Advantech’s IIoT Automaton Group announced that a wide range of its platforms, including industrial ATX motherboards, slot single-board computers (SBCs), modular IPCs, industrial server boards, and transportation platforms have been upgraded with 8th generation Intel Core i/Xeon® E family processors.  These 8th generation Intel Core i/Xeon E processors deliver 25% performance boost with six cores.  Equipped with a 9th generation Intel graphics engine, they offer rapid video acceleration, three independent 4K ultra HD displays, and support USB 3.1 Gen 2 (10 Gb/s).  These new processors are ideal for powering intelligent systems aimed at diverse markets, such as video surveillance, medical, industrial automation, and transportation infrastructure.

Regarding the upgraded product lines, they include the PCE-5131, PCE-5031, and PCE-7131 series of industrial-grade PICMG 1.3 single-board computers, the AIMB-786 and AIMB-706 series of the ATX form factors, and the ASMB-586 and ASMB-786 series of server-grade motherboards.

In addition to Intel’s latest processors, the PCE-5131, PCE-5031, and the PCE-7131 industrial-grade PICMG 1.3 SBCs are equipped with multiple backplanes, diverse I/O, and various expansion slots to provide unrivaled flexibility and performance.

The AIMB-786 and AIMB-706 series support up to seven expansion slots.  These motherboards offer high-performance computing and a wide range of system capabilities to support demanding industrial applications that require seamless upgrades, long-term support, proven reliability, and strict revision control.

Lastly, with the upgraded processors and DDR memory, the ASMB-586 and ASMB-786 series of server-grade motherboards can easily deliver increased computing efficiency for applications that require high-performance computing.

These upgraded products feature multiple OS and Advantech’s SUSI Access and WISE-Cloud software platforms.
