Buffalo Grove, IL – Carlo Gavazzi introduces its new line of mid-range IEC contactors, overloads and accessories. The GC Series Contactors are available in 4 frame sizes, ranging from 25Amps to 140Amps (up to 75 Hp at 460VAC). Contactors are available with a wide selection of AC and DC coil voltages, choice of screw or lug terminals on larger contactors, dual coil terminals for easy looping and at least one auxiliary contact. The contactor‚’s coil is easily changed in the event an emergency shipment with a non-standard voltage is required. There is also a new mechanical interlock unit for reversing contactor sets, which also includes auxiliary contacts for electrical interlocking.

Matching GT Series Bimetallic Overloads provide class 10 trip protection for motor loads. Standard features include a set of auxiliary contacts, test button and manual or automatic reset direct mounting or optional separate mounting bracket.

The new GC Series Contactors were designed to complement Carlo Gavazzi‚’s existing line of GMS Manual Motor Starters. Direct link adapters and rigid back plates provide a seamless means of connecting the GC Series Contactors to the GMS Series Manual Starters.

All Carlo Gavazzi contactors, overloads and manual motor starters are covered by a two year warranty, and are CE and RoHs certified, UL and CSA listed . The GC Series Contactors are also CSA approved for elevator applications. Features include:

‚•3-phase contactors and overloads for motor, heater and lighting control
‚•UL resistive rating ranging from 25 to 140Amps
‚•UL motor rating ranging from 5 to 75 Hp
‚•CSA elevator rating ranging from 12.5 to 75A
‚•At least one auxiliary on the contactors, two auxiliaries are provided on the overloads
‚•Screw terminals are standard, with lug terminals offered as an option on sizes above 35A
‚•Wide range of AC and DC coil voltages
‚•Coils with dual terminals
‚•Cover for contactor test button
‚•Mechanical interlocks with auxiliary contacts
‚•Bus bars for reversing contactor combinations
‚•Direct link and back plates for connecting contactors to manual motor starters
‚•UL and CSA listed products with CSA elevator duty rating on the GC Series Contactors
