Minarik Acquires Another Quality Distributor

By Design World Staff | May 15, 2007

Over the last 7 years, Minarik Corporation has made 5 strategic acquisitions and is being seen as the leading National value added motion control and automation distributor with over $120 million in annual distribution sales. Recently the company announced that it has acquired PacMation, Inc. PacMation, considered to be the leading motion control distributor in the Northwest, has operations supporting northern California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, British Columbia and Alberta.

The acquisition of PacMation, increases Minarik’s already strong position in those markets by adding to Minarik’s existing locations in Milpitas, California, Portland and Seattle. “We are very pleased to be able to continue Minarik’s market expansion with the acquisition of PacMation.  Their technical resources and expertise, coupled with the resources of Minarik will offer the Northwest market superior products with unequalled application support and service,” stated John Hegel, President and CEO of Minarik Corporation.

“The acquisition of PacMation positions Minarik as the dominant motion control distributor from Texas, along the southern US border and throughout the west coast of North America”. Andy Reid, President of PacMation said, “Combining PacMation engineering capabilities with Minarik’s field support resources, creates an organization unlike any other on the west coast.  We are well positioned to provide extraordinary value to our clients and suppliers.” John Reilley, Vice President of Marketing said, “we are continuing to look for the right types acquisitions in strategic areas that we would like to either expand into or strengthen our current position in”. The companies will retain their separate identities and trade names to take advantage of the brand awareness and excellent reputations in their respective markets.
