Mobile, AL, — N-TRON’s 700 Series Industrial Ethernet switches offer advanced
management and monitoring features, industrially hardened construction, and a space saving package all at a very affordable price. The 708TX Series provides eight RJ-45 copper ports, while the 708FX2 provides six RJ-45 copper ports and two 100BaseFX fiber ports.

The 700 Series switches are fully managed and come standard with: IGMP Snooping, VLAN, QoS, Trunking, Port Mirroring, RSTP, DHCP, and N-TRON’s N-Ring Technology. For ease of configuration and monitoring, the 700 Series also offers Web Browser management and N-View™ OLE for Process
Control Server Software. The N-TRON N-View OPC Server Software can be combined with popular HMI software packages to add network traffic monitoring, trending, and alarming to any application using N-TRON switches. In addition, SNMP, COM port interfaces are available for switch link and status monitoring.

N-TRON’s 700 Series switches are ideal candidates for use as Ring Managers. These switches with NTRON’s exclusive N-Ring technology offer expanded ring size capacity, detailed fault diagnostics, and a standard heal time of ˜30ms.

The 700 Series configured as a Ring Manager periodically checks the health of the Ring via packets. If the Ring Manager stops receiving the health check packets, it converts the Ring to a linear bus topology within ˜30ms.

In addition to standard Ring Manager protocol, when using all N-TRON fully managed switches in the ring, a detailed ring map and fault location chart will be shown on the Ring Manager’s web browser as well as N-View OPC Server to identify the health status of the ring. A configurable Alarm Contact allows notification for up to 6 different conditions.

N-TRON’s N-Ring technology offers expanded ring size capacity for a network with up to 250 fully managed N-TRON switches participating in the N-Ring topologies.
