Ogura Industrial is pleased to announce a new addition to our product line. Although the AMC and AMB series are not new, they have gone through significant design improvements. Because of these improvements, the 
AMC/AMB-E series is finding new opportunities for machinery manufacturers in North America because of some of its unique features.
The new E series is available in four sizes, 2.5, 5, 10, and 20. These have been redesigned to have approximately a 25% increase in torque, a 5% reduction in power consumption, approximately a 15% lighter weight while also being roHs compliant and having a lower cost. These increases in performance and lower cost have been achieved by optimizing the coil, housing and rotor design to achieve a more efficient flux path.
Ogura has been producing clutches and brakes since 1938. Over that time, we have developed over 5,000 different models of clutches and brakes. Although Ogura primarily produces electromagnetic clutches and brakes, we also produce magnet particle, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and a variety of specialty products. Ogura is the world’s largest manufacturer of electromagnetic clutches and brakes. Current manufacturing capacity is over 30 million units per year.
