Equipment in the photocopier market is becoming more complex every day. These new developments are driving demands for greater production speed and increased levels of quality.
Fenner Precision, a design and development company of belts, pulleys, and tires used in paper propulsion and motion control applications, manufactures a reinforced dual-durometer belt for photocopiers and digital printing equipment. Because of its combination of materials and vacuum holes, the belt increases the vacuum draw between the belt and frame.
The belt’s tooth configuration is designed so that the teeth do not run the full width of the belt. Consequently, the company can use vacuum holes and materials with a higher Coefficient of Friction (COF). The belt is made of Kevlar reinforced polyurethane.
