Piab has launched the latest rough surface lip for the piGRIP® suction cup platform — piGRIP®.
This platform is the first modular suction cup in the market that enables clients to select the best combination of bellow and lip, offering faster product handling and saves more energy.
The all-new rough surface lip (FLI-F) is well suited for handling objects with relief/embossing, heavily textured surfaces, and materials with very rough surfaces, especially covers for medicine containers, diamond plates and caps, tiles, structured shower Plexiglas, plus raw wood.
In addition, the FLI-F can handle several millimeters in height differences and can still provide excellent sealing capability. The lip has also been enhanced to deliver the highest lifting and grip performance on the mentioned surfaces.
Aside from that, piGRIP® modular suction cups comes with assorted lips, offering clients a plethora of choices depending on surface type.
The standard lip (S) is versatile and can be used in differed kinds of surfaces. In particular, the green standard lip is suited for even surfaces on sealed materials and offers extra wear resistance.
For rough or uneven surfaces like textured plastic parts, the recommended one is the blue standard lip. Moreover, the piGRIP® is made of FDA approved materials and is safe for food.
Clients can also chose from a wide range of fittings, making piGRIP® cups user-friendly. It is easy to retrofit and connect into new machines. Additionally, it is available in both push on and threaded fittings.
