A new protective rear cover series for Power Entry Modules (PEMs), called the RC320, is comprised of flame-retardant silicone rubber, flame class UL94 V-0. This flexible and durable material ensures an excellent fit and is temperature resistant up to 150°C. It is also free of halogens and is RoHS and REACH compliant.
PEMs, including appliance inlets and outlets, are typically open in the back. The new RC320 Rear Covers protect against 
unintentional contact with exposed live terminals. In addition, the covers protect against dust and other corrosion causing contaminants that may reduce the life of the connections.
The versatility of PEMs includes any combination of IEC appliance inlet and/or outlet, with or without fuse, EMC filter, illuminated or non-illuminated power switch, appliance circuit breaker, etc. The integrated multi-function approach is long established by SCHURTER, with new and innovative products as well as practical accessories being developed to meet the increasing demand for the highest performing power components in the most compact design.
