The length of the new BG45x15SI motor was reduced from 120 mm to 88 mm and the length of the more powerful BG45x30SI motor was reduced from 135 mm to 103 mm. These high-power density, under 100 W compact servo motors offer four-quadrant digital speed control with programmable features. The new BG45SI motors feature a newly designed digital control and power electronics that offer an overall package size reduction of more than 25%. Also, the motor connector design is updated for further space saving and convenience in mounting and connection. The units can achieve peak powers of four times the continuous duty rating and a starting torque of up to 100 N-cm is possible. Motor target speed can be set using an analog +/-10 Vdc input signal. Different speeds can be selected through digital inputs using start-up software. The drive has four digital inputs. Two are for selecting the four operating conditions: rotation clockwise/counter-clockwise stop with free running, and stop with holding torque. The other two digital inputs are for selecting the fixed motor speed with acceleration and deceleration ramps.
