KEB America announces the debut of its newest embedded control product, the C6 SMART iPC. The SMART uses an ARM CORTEX-A9 CPU and is ideal for applications requiring coordinated real-time motion control. The unit is DIN rail mounted and measures only 47mm wide.
The SMART is offered in dual-core and quad-core versions. The quad-core C6 SMART iPC gives users an improved performance experience over previous embedded controls from KEB by including additional processing power allotted for visualization and a DVI-D port to integrate with visualization systems like KEB’s C6 Monitor. A dual-core version is also available for PLC or machine control.
A micro-UPS with 512KB of persistent/retain memory to protect against power outages is included as standard on the SMART. Also standard is 8 GB of onboard memory for applications and an EtherCAT master. The unit has an IP20 protection rating and can operate in a temperature range of 0-50 °C.
The C6 SMART iPC is designed for remote connectivity so you can monitor the field or the floor without making costly trips. The SMART includes a COMBIVIS connect license which allows a user to safely and easily connect to the machine with an internet connection.
