Tektronix, Inc. announced that it has made a sizeable donation of more than $22,000 of equipment to the Fariborz Maseeh College of Engineering and Computer Science at Portland State University (PSU). The donated equipment included oscilloscopes, probes, an arbitrary/function generator, a digital multimeter and laboratory grade power supplies. The tools provided through this donation will be used to outfit engineering and science laboratories and classrooms at Oregon’s largest and fastest growing university.
The equipment donated to PSU included five TDS20134C oscilloscopes, an AFG3012 Function Generator, one DMM4020 Digital Multimeter, and seven Keithley Model 2220-30-1 Programmable Triple Channel DC Power Supplies. As part of the donation package, PSU also purchased 10 TDS2014C oscilloscopes, seven AFG3012 units and 10 DMM4020 digital multimeters. In addition, Tektronix recently donated six A621 Current Probes to accompany PSU’s purchase of six TPS2012B Oscilloscopes through Tektronix partner TestEquity
The Fariborz Maseeh College of Engineering and Computer Science at Portland State University evolved in parallel with the growth of the high-tech industry in Oregon and is poised to become the state’s premier engineering school. More than 2,200 students are currently enrolled in programs that lead to undergraduate and graduate degrees in disciplines such as Civil and Environmental Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Engineering and Technology Management, Mechanical and Materials Engineering, Systems Engineering and Computer Science.
