Wire-actuated encoder for outdoor applications

z3607_Seilzuggeber_C60Kübler is expanding its portfolio of wire-actuated encoders, which is divided into four categories: Performance, Robust-, Compact- and Base-Line. The new pull-wire encoder C60, for measuring lengths up to 4 m, is part of the Robust-Line and, thanks to its robust design, the high protection class IP69k, and the wide temperature range down to -40° to +85°C is the ideal linear sensor solution for outdoor applications.

Flexibility and adaptability are reflected in the wide selection of housing and cable types, the wide measuring range, and the various interfaces. Different designs such as open or closed housings or housings with perforated plate covers are available for selection. The pull-wire encoder has a stable stainless steel cable (ø 1.0 mm) with freely selectable cable attachments such as clip, M4 thread, or ring.

The draw-wire encoder stands for good linearity of up to ± 0.1 % in a measuring range of up to 4 m. Common interfaces such as CANopen or potentiometer, 0 …5 V, 0 … 10 V, 4 … 20 mA are available.

In the course of the increasing safety requirements in mobile automation, some sensors are installed in two versions today. This means an increase in overall costs, higher installation costs, and space problems.

In its compact and robust design, the new C60 draw-wire encoder also offers a redundant variant. The draw-wire encoder is used in mobile machines, working, and rescue platforms as well as in general automation.
