Earlier this year, MIT’s Self Assembly Lab announced a partnership with furniture design company Steelcase to perform Rapid Liquid Printing, a method by which objects can be built up through liquid deposition. The resulting frameworks are flexible enough to be manipulated and strong enough to be used as furniture supports. “By using 3D printing Steelcase hopes to unlock the potential of truly personalized interior design,” the company wrote.
