Schaumburg, IL-MISUMI USA, Inc. announces the immediate availability of low-temp, black chrome plating on a variety of the company’s motion components, including linear shaft, linear bushings, linear guides, ball screws and others.
Through electroplating an alloyed surface is formed to create an anti-corrosion coating (black film) on the component. Known as low-temp black chrome plating, this compound is chemically deposited on the product to prevent cracking or peeling, even under the varying conditions of extreme temperatures as well as repeated flexing and friction. This low-temp, black chrome plating is also suitable for use in optical applications where low light reflection is required.
Engineers with special application environments or other questions about the suitability of this low-temp, black chrome plating for their system components may contact MISUMI for application engineering assistance. We welcome your calls. Also feel free to click here for a technical reference guide to coating technologies.
All the products currently offered with low-temp, black chrome plating are detailed in the new 2008 MISUMI catalogs, now available at the company website, www.misumiusa.com, for order or review online.
