Printed circuit board real estate is always in short supply, but several companies continue to introduce innovative connectors that better use the available board space. One such connector is the APD direct PCB connector, which connects to a PCB internally, rather than with a standard crimped cable connection.
Because of this connector, you do not need harnessing. The connector eliminates the need for board-to-board connectors while also saving space and reducing manufacturing operations and costs. The connector is sealed to IP67 and IP69K specifications. Lightweight and robust, it can be used in a range of industrial, transportation and military applications.
It is available in 6, 7, 19, 37 or 51-way versions, and it is equipped with a 4-way configuration for sensor applications. It has machined contacts with military/aerospace a press-in contour, and up to four color and mechanical codings. Maximum operating voltage is 48 V. The connector is compatible with selective wave processing.
