With the recent receipt of 510(k) clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Preventice can now offer its BodyGuardian Remote Monitoring System (RMS) to hospitals and clinics to detect and monitor non-lethal cardiac arrhythmias for ambulatory patients. The system uses STMicroelectronics wearable body sensor technologies to obtain patient data.
With a small body-worn sensor attached to the patient’s chest, the system allows physicians to monitor key biometrics of patients with cardiac arrhythmias outside of the clinical setting. While patients conduct their daily lives, the system provides a continuous connection between the patient and their physicians.
