Isotech’s non-magnetic linear ball slides ideal for magnet-sensitive applications

Ideal for applications sensitive to magnetic influence, Isotech’s (www.isotechinc.com) latest range of lightweight, non-magnetic linear ball slides support travel lengths ranging from 50 inches to 12 inches.

“We have seen an increasing demand for non-magnetic motion components,” noted Joe Casillo, President at Isotech. “From sensitive electronics, medical equipment, and semiconductor, to liquid crystal manufacturing and inspection equipment, the applications are numerous.”

Aside from being lightweight and non-magnetic, the company’s latest ball slide is also low maintenance as it is specifically designed with titanium shafts, brass fasteners, silicon nitride ceramic ball bearings and aluminum carriage and base.

It comes with a self-cleaning ball bearing design that effectively eliminates the need for lubrication while its factory preload feature helps deliver low friction and minimize side play. In addition, these features also contribute to simplify maintenance, enabling each ball slide unit to deliver a long service life of around 100 million inches at one half the unit’s rated load.

Available in a wide array of specifications and models, the non-magnetic roller slide offers a load capacity of 1.2 pounds to 61.5 pounds, positional repeatability of 0.0002 inches and straight-line accuracy of up to 0.0005 inches of travel. Delivering a typical coefficient of friction of 0.003 inches, Isotech’s linear ball slides also feature standard mounting holes that simplify installation.

With clear anodize carriage as well as black anodize base finishes offered as standard, the company also provides other finishes upon the customer’s request.
