Fischer Connectors will be exhibiting several new connector solutions for military technology developers at this year’s AUSA Expo, October 8-10 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. Fischer Connectors is a trusted partner with military wearable technologies manufacturers, designing and manufacturing class-leading connectors that withstand the harsh environments wherever these products are deployed.

Fischer Connectors Freedom series AUSA for military wearable techThis year, Fischer Connectors will be highlighting new breakthrough technologies that resolve critical limitations or complications with military wearables. Each of these new connectors has been engineered with the growing demands of military technology designers and analysis of market trends in mind.

Fischer Connectors Group CEO Jonathan Brossard said the company’s core mission is to make customers’ lives easier with a collaborative approach and tailored connectivity solutions. “The creation of the Fischer Freedom series is evidence that our mission actually strengthens our customers’ abilities to design for their markets and helps them break into new markets as well.”

The Fischer Freedom series revolutionizes wearable connectivity, meeting design engineers’ urgent needs for designing and connecting portable and body-worn systems quickly and easily, thanks to three breakthrough technology innovations:

  • Mating – no key code allows for 360° mating freedom
  • Locking – ball-locking mechanism with sealing and variable pre-defined force (patent-pending)
  • Materials – specially designed pins on the plug are IP68 sealed with a membrane (patent-pending)

Wim Vanheertum, Director of Product Management, will be at the AUSA show to work with customers interested in designing the new connectivity solution into their products. “This new series offers a unique connectivity solution that has been conceived and designed from the outset for the benefit of our customers. It fulfills a need engineers constantly express: the need for easy integration when it comes to wearables, by delivering power and data with optimized cabling or even integrated backplanes inside a vest.”

This is just one of the new product designs that Fischer Connectors will be demonstrating at the AUSA booth. Fischer Connectors will also be showcasing the Fischer MiniMax series of miniature rugged connectors designed to reduce size and weight of communications gear and other critical military equipment. With a focus on fast data transfer, the newest connector configurations will help prime contractors handle SWAP requirements. To see these products in action, visit Fischer Connectors’ booth (9235) and see how they are continuing to lead the military interconnectivity industry.
