Panasonic Industrial Devices Sales Company of America now sells a CR-AGZ cell battery that offers two important and complementary features — superior long-term reliability and high capacity.

Panasonic, one of the world’s leading battery manufacturing companies, offers the CR-AGZ for applications that require high safety from a high-capacity cell. This cell utilizes manganese-based cathode material to deliver better temperature tolerance so that it may operate in harsh environments. Some sample applications include gas and water meters, fire alarms, security sensors, and AMR (automatic meter reading) among others. Specific features of the CR-AGZ include:

  • High capacity compared to competition
  • Superior long-term reliability (more than 15 years)
  • Very good safety and environmentally friendly
  • PTC device built in; wide operating temperature from -40° C to 70° C
  • No toxic materials are included

“This cylindrical cell offers more than 10% higher capacities compared to conventional CR A size batteries,” says Seiichi Aoki, Panasonic Engineer for Industrial Batteries. “We are dedicated to supplying the customers with the highest quality battery technologies.”
