Global industrial technology company Sensata Technologies has announced that it has officially acquired the sensing portfolio of Custom Sensors & Technologies (CST), a California-based sensor, controls and actuator manufacturer.
The brands and product lines featured in the portfolio are CST’s BEI, Crydom, Kavlico, and Newall brands and product lines.
Sensata Technologies is also acquiring a number of manufacturing, engineering, and sales operations in the United States, United Kingdom, China, Mexico, Germany, and France. In total, those operations employ approximately 2,500 people, roughly 250 of which are engineers.
Senseta Technologies President and CEO Martha Sullivan said the acquisition of the portfolio is consistent with the company’s strategy for succeeding in the sensing industry.
“These are long-standing, profitable and highly cash generative sensing brands that are well respected by leading OEMs,” she said. “We are excited to welcome this talented team into Sensata’s global organization.”
