AMETEK Rotron has introduced a small tubeaxial fan that delivers high performance in severe conditions. The Propimax 4 provides efficient ventilation and electronic equipment cooling in military and commercial helicopters as well as other air, ground and shipboard applications. It features an onboard electromagnetic interference (EMI) filter and Low Speed Warning Device (LSWD).
The fans deliver maximum airflow of 240 CFM to move cooling air through densely packaged avionics, computers, communications gear, medical devices and other components. Impellers run on two high-precision double shielded stainless steel ball bearings, with an integral lubricant reservoir for long, maintenance-free life. It measures only 9.5 cm (3.75”) diameter x 4.4 cm (1.73”) deep,
Standard features include speed control, brushless permanent magnet design and transient, over voltage and reverse polarity protection. Operating temperature range is -54° C to 85° C. Available options include a wide range of custom mounting configurations and helicoil inserts.
All Rotron Tubeaxial Fans are finely balanced for long life and are designed to meet the harsh duty requirements of MIL-B-23071 and other applicable military and aerospace specifications.
