Next week marks the beginning of the prestigious Paris Air Show, and one of the most talked-about jets in the world will be there despite initial assertions otherwise.
In late April, the F-35 Joint Program Office announced that the stealth fighter would not be on view at the Paris Air Show. On May 8, the Air Force stated that at least one of the jets will appear at the show in some capacity. It has not yet been announced whether that capacity will include a flying demonstration, a prolonged stay in Paris, or something else.
We’ll have coverage of the Paris Air Show all week at PD&D and ECN. Meanwhile, here’s Lockheed Martin’s latest update from the first F-35A to come out of the Mitsubishi Heavy Industries plant in Japan.
