Windjammer® and Nautilair® Variable-Speed Brushless DC Blowers Equipped with Universal Drive System

By Editor | October 1, 2013

Share

The families of compact Windjammer® 5.7 in./145mm and Nautilair® 7.6 in./193mm variable-speed brushless DC blowers now can be equipped with a newly introduced Universal Drive System that allows the blowers to operate over a wide range of voltage inputs from 100VAC-240VAC.

This feature especially benefits users in instances where the blowers are specified for application in multiple regions around the world. A single Windjammer or Nautilair blower is now able to accommodate the different voltage standards without requiring variations. Users can rely on one part number, resulting in fewer items to keep in stock and fewer variables in designing a new product for multiple world regions.

Along with this feature, Windjammer and Nautilair blowers provide long service life and virtually maintenance-free operation as well as reliable and efficient performance for a wide array of air-moving applications.

Windjammer 5.7 in./145mm and Nautilair 7.6 in./193mm blowers feature an IntelliGen Controller Design utilizing a factory-programmed digital signal processor (DSP). Windjammer blowers develop output pressures up to 130 inches H2O and flows up to 250 CFM, while the Nautilair blowers provide up to 42 inches H20 and 230 CFM.

Among the blowers’ onboard features are standard and customized option cards and user speed control methods that include mechanical, 0-10VDC, 4-20mA, PWM or remote potentiometer; externally or internally driven tachometer output signal and status output signal.

Users also can select the Windjammer 5.7 in. / 145mm in thru-flow or bypass blower configurations as required, while the Nautilair 7.6 in./ 193mm comes only in a bypass configuration. Custom blower products are available to satisfy specific customer or application requirements.
