General Dynamics Land Systems has been given a $92.1 million Army contract for six System Enhancement Program (SEP) Abrams M142 tanks, the United States Department of Defense announced in its Friday publication of military contracts.
General Dynamics was the only company to submit a bid for the fixed-price-incentive contract. Nearly $20 million in fiscal 2015 funds were assigned at the time of the award. The labor will be conducted in various locations throughout the U.S., and should be finished on July 31, 2017.
Boeing will be awarded a $67.5 million modification to a Navy contract for training systems, services, and supplies related to the Australian government’s Boeing P-8A military aircraft training. More than $67 million in funds will be assigned with the award, with none of those funds expiring at the end of the 2015 fiscal year. The majority (90 percent) of the labor will be performed in various locations throughout the U.S., with the remaining work taking place in Australia. The labor should be finished in March 2019.
Lockheed Martin Mission Systems and Training will be given an $18.3 million Navy contract for engineering and technical work needed to integrate combat system on new construction and in-service submarines. More than $9 million in fiscal 2014 shipbuilding and conversion funds will be assigned with the award, none of which will expire at the end of the 2015 fiscal year. The cost-plus-incentive-fee, undefinitized contract action was not competitively obtained. The labor will be performed in various locations throughout the U.S., and should be finished by December 2016.
Puerto Rico-based small business Aurora Industries has been awarded $12 million for a one-year option to a firm-fixed-price Defense Logistics Agency contract for flame resistant uniforms. The U.S. Air Force and U.S. Army will receive the uniforms. The labor will take place in Puerto Rico, and should be finished on Dec. 28, 2016.
