Advantech’s Industrial Automation Group announces the launch of the “Light Industrial” unmanaged switches, the EKI-3000 series. They feature five and an eight port Ethernet switches in both 10/100 and Gigabit version. These products have dedicated priority ports, up to 60% reduction in power consumption, smart diagnostics, and supports gigabit data transmission making them ideal for a host of industrial automation functions.
Superior smart diagnostic functions are the best way to discover a fault on the system without lots of painstaking port analysis.
In energy sensitive applications where power consumption is a factor, these switches come with advanced power saving functions that save up to 60% on power consumption by shutting down ports that have no link and budgeting power based on the length of the Ethernet cable. This is part of the IEEE 802.3az Energy Efficient Standard.
Gigabit Ethernet provides users with the fastest possible data transmission speeds for high definition video streaming and the ability to sustain constantly high traffic loads in our EKI-3725 and EKI-2728 models. For applications that don’t require the benefits of Gigabit Ethernet but still want the priority ports, energy saving and quick diagnostics, Advantech has the EKI-3525 and 3528 models which have 10/100Mbps ports.
