Outdoor Splitter Cabinet Houses Optical Power

By Design World Staff | May 24, 2007

Share

The CSX-2 144 outdoor centralized splitter cabinet is suitable for pole-mounting or pad placement. It is an environmentally sealed enclosure for splitting and redistributing optical power from feeder fibers to distribution fibers. It is a subscriber-interconnect facility as well as a test access location for the cable plant.

The small cabinet footprint offers easy field placement and a pivoting parking lot with technician-friendly, full front cabinet accessibility. The cabinets accommodate two 72-fiber distribution shelf assemblies, each comprised of two 36-fiber subscriber shelves. The pivoting modular shelves facilitate field installation and expansion in addition to providing quick access to connectors and controlled pigtail handling.

Additional features include a one-piece cabinet shell for improved, four-sided access to interior components, and fiber radius and slack management controls for a simple and effective fiber management system.
