The recently concluded Realize LIVE in Detroit was billed as a premier industry solutions event for Siemens Digital Industries software users and partners. The keynotes, conference sessions, and expo were basically born out of Siemens combining its PLM Connection Americas event with other Siemens customer get-togethers. One of the big themes emphasized in Detroit was autonomous and connected vehicles. In that regard, we had a chance to kick a few tires around the expo portion of the event. Here are few things that caught our interest.
The 3DConnexion booth featured a demo of the firm’s 3D mouse. This is basically a joy stick that also is sensitive to twisting motion by the operator. This lets the operator spin and move 3D models on the screen more easily than if the on-screen model is moved around via an ordinary mouse alone.
