Alternative mobility schemes in the limelight
The Veemo velomobile is classified as a bicycle though it includes a hub motor in its rear wheel. That means you don’t need a driver’s license to run it. It is designed to replace autos in dense urban areas. Technical features include torque-sensing pedals that amplify the pedal power of the driver. Also inside is an automatic transmission, a swappable battery pack and a carbon-fiber suspension system that provides 100 mm or rear suspension travel to smooth out bumps.
